Palatine boosts operational offering with Berkeley tie-up
Palatine Private Equity has agreed to team up with management consultancy The Berkeley Partnership to strengthen its operational improvement offering.
In a move that highlights the growing need for buyout houses to develop a clear growth strategy prior to investing due to the increasingly competitive market for quality assets, the partnership will see the pair working together throughout the life cycle of Palatine's investments, both pre- and post-deal.
Prior to investment, Berkeley will assist the buyout house with pre-deal due diligence and identifying areas of operational improvement in target companies. Post-deal, the management consultancy will aid the implementation of operational improvements.
Berkeley is based in London and employs 70 people. Clients include Unilever, the Post Office and Royal Mail.
