
Electra's Tim Syder steps down as part of reshuffle
Electra Partners has made a number of changes to its team as it pursues a succession plan.
Deputy managing partner Tim Syder and partner Rhian Davies are both retiring from the partnership structure, as anticipated by the firm. The former retired at the end of March, while Davies will step down at the end of June. Both will continue as senior advisers.
Electra has also announced that Charles Elkington and Chris Hanna have been promoted to partners. Elkington joined the firm in 2005 as an investment partner after a 12-year stint in corporate finance, first with Arthur Andersen and then Deloitte. He has been involved in deals such as Nuaire, Audiotonix and Sentinel.
Hanna, was also previously an investment partner, having joined Electra in 2011. He previously worked at Phoenix Equity Partners and Morgan Grenfell Private Equity. he has been involved in deals including Elian, Treetops Nurseries and Allflex.
Electra has also promoted investment associates Shakira Adigun-Boaye and Tom Stenhouse to investment managers. Adigun-Boaye has been with the firm for three years after a stint at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Stenhouse joined Electra
from Boston Consulting Group in 2012.
Finally, Electra has hired Zoe Clements as an investment director. She joins from a director role at mid-market firm LGV Capital – she had been with the firm for 10 years, having previously worked in the leveraged finance team at RBS.
