MML promotes Mayers to partner

MML Capital Partners has promoted Richard Mayers to partner in its London office.
Mayers joined MML as an investment director in March 2012 after six years with National Australia Bank (NAB), leaving his role as director in the leverage finance team working on mid-market private equity deals.
He currently has a seat on the board of MML portfolio companies ATA Group, Optionis, Learning Curve and catering business CH&Co Group. MML took a minority stake in CH&Co Group via the merger of CH&Co and HCM earlier this month, a deal valuing the consolidated group at £75m.
Prior to joining NAB, Mayers spent four years with EY, where he was a senior associate in the corporate restructuring team.
MML has made seven investments in the past 12 months, in addition to two exits that achieved an overall 2.7x return. In September 2014, The GP sold its stake in The Regard Partnership, a provider of care and supported living services to people with learning difficulties, to Montreaux Capital Management for £119.5m.
