NorthEdge appoints Phoenix's Rastrick as partner

NorthEdge Capital has appointed Phoenix Equity Partners’ John Rastrick as a partner in its Leeds office.
Rastrick leaves his role as partner at Phoenix, having joined the firm eight years ago. While at Phoenix, he oversaw the expansion of the firm in northern England, opening offices in Yorkshire and the north-west.
Prior to joining Phoenix, Rastrick spent four years at 3i, leaving his role of investment director in December 2006.
The announcement of Rastrick's appointment comes nine months after NorthEdge appointed James Marshall as investment executive from Dow Schofield Watts.
To date, NorthEdge has invested £140m from its maiden vehicle, which held a final close on its £225m hard-cap in April 2013. Most recently, the GP invested £11.5m in the management buyout of Wilmslow-based health and fitness business Total Fitness.
