Ex-Doughty execs to lead Charme Capital London office
Milan-based GP Charme Capital Partners has opened a London office led by former Doughty Hanson executives Julian Huxtable, Christopher Fielding and Francisco Churtichaga.
Huxtable joins the GP formerly known as Montezemolo & Partners four months after leaving his position as head of UK at Doughty Hanson, following the British GP's decision to suspend fundraising for a new vehicle.
Fielding, who joined Doughty Hanson in 2003, was a partner for the GP in London until he left the firm in August, as the firm was winding down.
Churtichaga joined in 2006 and was a partner in the firm's Madrid office, which closed earlier this year as part of the GP's plan to focus on its remaining investments and funds.
The London office will work alongside the GP's Milan office to invest the Charme III vehicle, which is currently fundraising and has so far raised around €450m towards its €500m target, unquote" understands.
Fundraising for the firm's third vehicle began in the second half of 2014, and it held a first close on €400m in January this year.
