
Accel promotes Botteri to general partner in London

Venture firm Accel has named Philippe Botteri as its newest general partner, alongside two other promotions and an associate hire for its London team.
Botteri was previously a partner at the firm, having joined Accel in 2011. He has a particular focus on software-as-a-service, enterprise software and online marketplaces, and has led Accel's investments in BlaBlaCar, DocuSign and Qubit, among others.
Firms he has previously worked for include Bessemer Venture Partners and McKinsey & Company.
Luciana Lixandru has also been promoted to principal while Seth Pierrepont has been appointed vice-president. Lixandru joined Accel in 2012 following stints at Summit Partners and Morgan Stanley. Pierrepont joined Accel in 2013 from Vision Capital.
Pia d'Iribarne has been hired by Accel as an associate, having previously spent five months with new outfit Felix Capital.
