
GB Group buys Capscan Parent for £11.2m
Frog Capital portfolio company GB Group has acquired Capscan Parent.
The transaction was primarily funded by a share placement. Both GB and Capscan are listed on AIM.
GB Group has been a portfolio company of Frog Capital since October 2010. The value of the investment was estimated to be less than £25m. GB Group is an identity management company based in Chester.
The acquisition price of Capscan was £11.2m, with £7.7m raised through share placing. The remaining £3.5m was provided in cash.
This acquisition is in line with the company's business strategy. Portfolio synergy will be generated through functionality and software integration and customer reach.

Capscan Parent is a provider of customer registration and address management software products. Headquartered in London, the company has a customer base of more than 1,800 clients globally, including government departments and blue chip companies. Capscan was established in 1969.
