
LDC backs Fever-Tree
LDC has taken a 25% stake in Fever-Tree, valuing the UK tonic water and mixers brand at £48m.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen the brand's presence in the UK and Spain, accelerate expansion into the US and help drive international growth.
Fever-Tree has a presence in 35 countries worldwide. The company's development strategy is to continue to expand into new UK regions and international markets such as Canada, Italy and Australia.
Fever-Tree recently launched in Japan, Colombia and in Germany in October 2012.

Founded in 2005 by British entrepreneurs Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillo and headquartered in London, Fever-Tree was created with the aim of providing quality mixers to match with premium spirits. Fever-Tree's Indian Tonic Water launched in the UK in early 2005.
The company has recorded average annual revenue growth of close to 60%. Over the next three years, the firm forecasts close to 25% average annual revenue growth for the UK and Spain, and of more than 50% for the US.
Fever-Tree collaborates with Bacardi, Diageo, LVMH and Pernod Ricard, as well as UK businesses such as Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, the Caprice, Claridges, Hakassan and the Ritz. The brand is also present in chains such as Carluccio's, Mitchells & Butlers and Young's.
People
Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow are the co-founders of Fever-Tree. Daniel Sasaki is the managing director of LDC's London investment team. Bertie Aykroyd is investment director at LDC. Sasaki and Aykroyd will join Fever-Tree's board.
