
Index et al. back Wool And The Gang with $2.8m
UK-based knitwear e-commerce company Wool And The Gang has raised $2.8m from Index Ventures, Wellington Partners and MMC Ventures.
The fresh funding from the round, which was jointly led by Index and Wellington, will allow Wool And The Gang to finance further growth in its existing markets, including the UK, Europe, Japan and the US.
The funding round also falls in conjunction with the launch of the business's new line, The Gang Collection, which features handbags that are handmade and customised by a global community of knitters and sold on Wool And The Gang's online marketplace.
