
Inflexion appoints Whileman as partner

Inflexion Private Equity has appointed David Whileman, the former head of UK private equity at 3i, as partner.
Whileman will be focused on investing in minority buyouts in the UK mid-market.
Whileman joins from 3i, where he was responsible for growth capital and buyout investments. He also co-founded 3i's €1.2bn Growth Capital Fund, which targets minority investments in high-growth mid-market companies. The fund has completed investments in Foster + Partners, Hyperion Insurance and Hayley Conference Centres.
Inflexion is an independent private equity house with a strategy of securing minority stakes in management buyouts. John Hartz and Simon Turner co-founded the business in 1999. Inflexion has portfolio support offices in Brazil, China and India.
