
BGF invests £4m in Skyscape
The Business Growth Fund (BGF) has invested £4m of growth capital in UK cloud infrastructure business Skyscape Cloud Services.
The investment will be used to increase the company's capacity, scale the business and develop its customer service offering. The fresh capital will also be used to expand in healthcare, local government and higher education.
Company
Established in May 2011, Skyscape provides cloud infrastructure services. The company focuses on assured cloud services, eliminating its customers' use of hardware or managed hosting services. It provides its services on a pay-by-the-hour system.
Headquartered in Farnborough, Hampshire, Skyscape's clients include UK public sector organisations such as the Cabinet Office, Home Office, HMRC and Ministry of Defence. The company is currently supporting 70 projects across 38 organisations and works with 100 partners.
Skyscape employs 45 people and expects to generate revenues of £10m.
