
Enterprise Ventures funds provide £2.5m for Winning Pitch
Enterprise Ventures' growth fund and North West Fund for Mezzanine have provided £2.5m of funding for Winning Pitch, a UK business coaching and support provider.
The capital will be used by Winning Pitch to introduce a selling division entitled Skills for Growth, to invest in new facilities and to expand its team.
£1.5m of the capital was provided by the EV Growth fund.
Stewart McCombe, who was appointed by Enterprise in May last year to manage the £15m North West Fund for Mezzanine, has previously worked for Winning Pitch as a coach for businesses in the north west region.
In December 2013, Enterprise Ventures and NatWest supported the £3.8m management buyout of Granby Marketing Services, with £1.35m drawn from EV Growth.
Debt
The North West Fund for Mezzanine, part of the £155m North West Fund, has provided a £1m debt package to support the deal.
Company
Salford-based Winning Pitch was founded in 2005 and provides coaching and business growth support services to the private and public sectors. It has a network of 200 coaches and offices in Liverpool, Leeds, Gateshead and Cardiff.
The company is currently a partner in the government's GrowthAccelerator programme that aims to help businesses grow.
