Notion and NEA invest $8.2m in Move Guides
Employee mobility business Move Guides has raised $8.2m through a series-A funding round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and existing investor Notion Capital.
The funding round was also joined by individual investors Andy Leaver and David Windley.
The fresh funding will support the company's expansion into Hong Kong.
According to the company, businesses spend $150bn on relocating staff. Furthermore, over the next 3-5 years, 75% of companies expect to increase their volume of mobile employees.
Company
Move Guides, established in 2011, operates Talent Mobility Cloud, a cloud service aimed at staff relocation. This emerging area of human resources entails moving employees around the world for new jobs, relocations, projects and expatriate assignments. According to the company, the process is complex and time-consuming due to compliance burdens when operating across countries.
The cloud service brings companies, employees, shipping, real estate, immigration and tax services together on one platform.
Clients include SurveyMonkey and Lululemon Athletica. The company has offices in London, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.
