
Active injects £7m into Honest Burgers
Active Private Equity has invested £7m in London-based burger chain Honest Burgers in return for a 50% stake in the business.
The founders will hold onto the remaining 50% of the business and will continue to run the restaurant chain.
Following the investment, Honest Burgers will look to expand over the next three years, initially in London and then to the rest of the UK. The company plans to reach 14 outlets over the next 12 months.

Founded in Brixton Village in 2011, Honest Burger currently operates nine restaurants in London. It specialises in gourmet burgers.

Honest Burgers was founded by Dorian Waite, Tom Barton and Philip Eeles. Spencer Skinner is a founding partner of Active; he joined the company's board following the transaction.
