FRANCE - Apax Partners agrees to buy FTMSC from France Telecom

Apax Partners has signed a agreement to acquire 100% of France telecom Mobile Satellite Communications SA (FTMSC).

FTMSC provides, markets and distributes communications solutions for customers based in areas with limited access to terrestrial telecoms infrastructure. The company has a global market share of approximately 20% and generated a 2005 turnover of about EUR 160m.
