
UK - LDC invests £6.5m in NESL
LDC has invested £6.5m into engineering solutions group Nuclear Engineering Services Limited (NESL).
Based in Wolverhampton, the company supplies bespoke design, testing, manufacture, assembly, and installation services in relation to electro-mechanical equipment and components operated in environments where radiation shielding is necessary. The business is focused on the nuclear, marine defence, and other specialist industrial sectors. NESL achieved £18m in sales in 2008 and is forecast to report sales of £25m this year.
The new capital will be used to build the company further in terms of its position within the civil nuclear market and naval defence sector, through both organic and aquisitive opportunities.
