
GLOBAL - Advent International promotes 18
Advent International has promoted 18 members of its global investment team.
In Frankfurt, Ronald Ayles and Ranjan Sen have both been promoted to managing director. Ayles worked at 3i for four years before joining Advent in 2005 and leads the chemicals and materials sector team. Sen is in his 6th year with Advent and joined from DB Capital, UBS Capital and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
In Milan, three members of staff have been promoted. Filippo de Vecchi is now managing director, having moved to the Milan office in 2003 following three years with Advent's Latin American team in Brazil. Roberto Torrini has been made director. He joined Advent in 2005 from McKinsey & Company, where he worked for the telecoms and financial services practices. Francesco Casiaghi has been promoted to assistant director. He joined from Merrill Lynch Investment Banking in 2007.
In Paris, Advent has made one promotion, with Damien Lestrang being appointed director. He joined the firm in 2003 from BNP Paribas where he was involved in the arrangement and underwriting of LBO transactions.
Another promotion has been made in Prague and two in Warswaw. In Prague, Milan Kulich is now assistant director. He has been with the firm since 2007 and was previously an assistant director at Deloitte focusing on M&A and valuations. In Warsaw, Monika Morali-Efinowicz is now managing director. She joined in 2005 from Apax Partners in Germany where she focused on European media buyouts. Also in Warsaw, Christian Senye has been promoted to director. He is now in his fourth year with Advent and joined from McKinsey & Company, where he advised in various sectors such as finance, petroleum and TMT.
Advent also promoted Stephen Hoffmeister in Boston to managing director, and Alfredo Alfaro to managing partner and Luis Solórzano to managing director in Mexico City. In São Paulo, two members of staff have been promoted: Patrice Etlin is now managing partner and Luiz Antonio Alves has become managing director.
