
FRANCE - Weinberg Capital Partners takes majority stake in Groupe Amplitude
Weinberg Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in hip and knee implant specialist Groupe Amplitude alongside the founders and original investor Initiative & Finance.
Salles-based Groupe Amplitude was founded in 1997 by Olivier Jallabert and Bruno Saint Paul. The company specialises in the manufacturing of hip and knee implants and also sells Amplivision, a cutting-edge navigation system for orthopaedic surgery. The firm forecasts a turnover of about EUR 30m in 2008 and has around 60 employees. Groupe Amplitude is present in 25 countries globally however two-thirds of its revenues are generated in France.
