CEE - Advent sells Axtone to IK
Advent International has sold rail freight buffer manufacturer Axtone to IK Investment Partners.
In 2006, Advent acquired Polish company Kamax and German business Keystone Bahntechnik, both of which were regional players in rail wagon buffers. Following the transactions, the fund merged the two companies to create the Axtone group, which recorded a turnover of EUR 49m in 2006.
The deal represents IK’s first direct investment in Central Europe.
