
ITALY - Hutton completes EUR 45m Aquafil funding
Hutton Collins has invested EUR 45m into flooring specialist Aquafil, with the current owner, the Bonazzi Group, retaining majority control.
Headquartered in Arco di Trento, Aquafil operates in the nylon 6 synthetic fibre market, with particular emphasis on the textile flooring segment. The company also has a presence in the engineering plastics and special textiles segments. Aquafil has 1,800 employees across its production plants in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, the US and Asia, and reported turnover of close to EUR 381m in 2008.
The capital will allow the company to accelerate its growth strategy with focus on Econyl, an environmentally sustainable product, as well as the expansion into Asian markets.
