
DACH – BC Partners acquires FutureLAB and takes 40 % stake in Synlab
BC Partners has acquired listed company FutureLAB, a provider of medical-diagnostic laboratory services, and taken a 40% stake in sector rival Synlab, with the view to merge the two by the end of the year.
FutureLAB is headquartered in Vienna and listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange. It was established through the merger of two Austrian laboratory groups (IMCL and Labor Margareten) in 2000. Represented in seven countries, the company employs 2,200 people.
Leinfelden-Echterdingen -based Synlab, was founded in 1998 and reported a turnover of EUR 194m in 2007. It employs 2,000 people in Germany and abroad.
