
Carlyle raises $1.1bn financial services fund
The Carlyle Group has raised $1.1bn for its first financial services fund, Carlyle Global Financial Services Partners (CGFSP).
The fund will focus on financial services companies around the world, including banks, insurance companies, asset managers and financial service providers.
CGFSP has made three investments thus far, comprising 30% of its fund: Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited (March 2010); BankUnited (May 2009) and Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BPFH) (August 2008).
