NBGI appoints Young as senior adviser
NBGI Private Equity has appointed former Allied Healthcare CEO Sandy Young as a senior adviser.
Young was previously CEO of Allied Healthcare International. During his three years in this position Young oversaw a number of acquisitions, and led the sale of the business to Saga Group at a 59% premium over its market cap.
He began his career with Rentokil Initial, operating as regional managing director for northern Europe, and later as the UK managing director of Chubb Electronic Security.
Young's appointment will shortly be followed by the recruitment of senior advisers in the healthcare and food manufacturing sectors. NBGI will pursue an increased focus on these two areas, including support services.
The advisers will provide support in terms of origination, strategic direction and exits across the three sectors, but won't formally join the boards of individual investee companies.
