SL Capital lands Aviva Investors PE portfolio mandate
SL Capital has been mandated by Aviva Investors to manage the LP's private equity portfolio from 1 February 2016.
The majority of the portfolio is in run-off mode, which prompted Aviva to select a manager to oversee the process. SL will now monitor and manage a portfolio of 115 fund investments, totalling £630m of assets.
While SL declined to disclose specifics about the portfolio, it is understood to comprise largely European assets and a minority of US assets, with a high level of cross-over with SL's other portfolios.
According to unquote" data, Aviva Investors has had exposure to funds managed by firms including Electra Private Equity, F&C Private Equity Trust, EQT, BC Partners and Standard Life Euro Private Equity Trust.
The delegated management arrangement, the financial details of which remain undisclosed for the time being, will also see Aviva Investors' Kevin Carey joining SL's London office to ensure continuity with the management process.
