
Enterprise Investors to acquire Scitec Holding BV
Enterprise Investors has acquired a significant majority stake in international sports nutrition company Scitec Holding BV, together with its minority co-investor Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.
Enterprise Investors drew equity from the PEF VII fund, which the GP raised last year. Scitec founder Zsolt Bengyel remains a minority shareholder following the transaction.
Enterprise Investors was brought into the transaction by adviser Deloitte. Negotiations lasted approximately five months from start to finish.
The company expects to continue its international expansion over the next few years; it will also invest resources in product innovation and aim to expand its products' user base.

Founded in 1996, Scitec produces and sells a wide variety of sports nutrition products, primarily under the Scitec Nutrition brand. Originally founded in the US, the company currently has a significant market presence in Europe and sells its products in more than 70 countries.
