Egeria sells Den Braven for €485m
Egeria has exited French adhesives and sealants maker Den Braven in a trade sale worth €485m to Arkema.
The purchase price equals 11x EBITDA. Arkema bought the business to merge with its subsidiary Bostik, which also produces adhesives. It hopes the integration of Den Braven into Bostik will generate cost savings of €30m in five years.
So far, Egeria has acquired two businesses this year: Utrecht-based human resources service The Employment Group and KP&T, which operates in the same sector. The investor merged the two companies.
Previous funding
Egeria acquired Den Braven from the founding family in August 2010 for an undisclosed amount.
