Tiin Capital's Cloud Security Group acquires Felton
Cloud Security Group, a portfolio company of Tiin Capital, has acquired Netherlands-based IT, cloud and security service Felton as part of its buy-and-build strategy in the cloud security services sector.
Cloud Security Group is a buy-and-build platform in the area of managed IT security services. The firm acquired Certus in January 2019 and Securely in June 2019.
Tiin Capital invested in Cloud Security Group via its Dutch Security TechFund, which was launched in December 2018 and remains open for new investors until the end of H1 2020. The vehicle deploys equity tickets of €200,000-1m for early-stage investments and €500,000-2.5m for growth investments.
The fund allows informal individual investors, entrepreneurs and family offices to invest in technology-backed businesses that are less than seven years old. The vehicle is Tiin Capital's sixth fund and was launched in December 2018. Its LPs include InnovationQuarter, KPN Ventures and government bodies including the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate Policy.

Felton advises companies on outsourcing, cloud and security IT projects focusing on functions including integration, migration and infrastructure. According to its website, its client base includes companies ranging from SMEs to multinational corporates operating in areas including healthcare and financial services. Based in Hilversum, Felton was founded in 2003 and has 27 employees, according to LinkedIn.
