Main Capital acquires Regas
Main Capital Partners has acquired a majority stake in Regas, a Dutch software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider for the mental health and wellbeing industry, via its Main Capital III fund.
The fresh funding will be used to pursue internationalisation of the company, as well as expand into the youth mental healthcare sector in Regas's established markets in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Main Capital III is a software-focused fund that seeks to invest in the Benelux region, making investments of €2m–6.5m. The vehicle, which has a target of €65m, held its first close in July 2012 on €12m.
Company
Regas was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Woerden. The company provides back-office SaaS solutions to the mental health and wellbeing industry in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. These are designed to make back-office set-up processes more efficient, which in turn will allow organisations operating in this sector to give greater focus to the primary functions of care-giving.
People
Nick Haasnoot is the CEO of Regas. Charly Zwemstra, a partner at Main Capital, manages investments made via Main Capital III and has been appointed chairman of Regas's non-executive board.
