Czech Republic-based growth equity firm Rockaway Capital has invested in Prague-headquartered publisher Euromedia.
The investment was made together with local investors Daniel Křetínský and Patrik Tkáč, who provided additional capital alongside Rockaway through the Czech Media Invest group.
Rockaway investment partner Robert Chmelař said the deal forms part of his firm's strategy of developing digital alternatives to traditional sectors, and that a standalone strategy for Euromedia will be developed.
The deal is subject to regulatory approvals.
Headquartered in Prague, Euromedia is a publishing house and wholesaler of books.
It owns publishing brands including Knižní Klub, Ikar and Universum.
