
KKR acquires stake in Rudolf Wild
Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (KKR) has acquired a stake in food ingredients business Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG with effect from 1 January 2010 from the owner, Dr. Hans-Peter Wild.
The transaction is described as a strategic partnership in preparation for an IPO of the company. Wild will target foreign markets, relying on KKR to support its financial positions and create new growth potential through its global network and acquisitions.
Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG, based in Eppelheim, is a flavours and ingredients maker for the food and beverage industry. The company was founded in 1931.
