Ambienta appoints Vorndran Mannheims' Helling as partner
Ambienta has appointed Vorndran Mannheims Capital Advisers’ Nico Helling as a partner in Germany.
Helling's appointment marks a new strategy for Ambienta - the GP will seek to increase its investment in DACH-based industrial businesses focused on resource efficiency and pollution control.
Having joined Vomdran Mannheims from Montagu Private Equity in June 2013, Helling took up the role of senior adviser. He spent 10 years with Montagu, overseeing investments across the DACH region as well as Poland and eastern Europe.
Helling also previously held roles at EY and UBS Capital.
Ambienta has also promoted Francesco Lodrini and Giancarlo Beraudo to principal, both of whom have been with the firm for four years.
Prior to joining Ambienta, Beraudo spent two years as an associate with Rhône Group and three years as a consultant with Bain & Company. Lodrini spent two years as an associate with Barclays Private Equity before joining Ambienta. He also had stints working for Goldman Sachs and Monitor Group.
Ambienta recently held a final close for its second fund on €323.5m, surpassing its target of €300m.
