Riverside appoints ex-Invest Europe head Dörte Höppner
The Riverside Company has appointed former Invest Europe CEO and secretary general Dörte Höppner as chief operating officer.
Höppner's new duties will include setting transaction goals in Europe, developing and improving processes, managing the budget for Europe, working closely with the global talent management team and supporting investor relations.
Current chief operating officer Avi Turetsky will transition out of the firm over the summer and focus on private equity research, ending a 10-year tenure with Riverside.
Prior to joining Riverside, Höppner was managing director at German law firm P+P Pöllath + Partners. She has also served as CEO and secretary general at Invest Europe and was managing director of the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.
Höppner will perform her new role from both the Munich and London offices.
