
T-Venture invests €2m in Accel Partners' flaregames
T-Ventures has committed €2m to German mobile gaming company flaregames, a portfolio company of Accel Partners.
T-Ventures is the venture capital arm of Deutsche Telekom. The deal includes a strategic marketing agreement for the promotion of mobile games.
Accel Partners invested €6m in flaregames in February 2012.
Company
flaregames is a German mobile gaming company providing free mainstream games. The company uses its proprietatry distribution platform to distribute the games. flaregames is planning to release its first game in five languages in April 2012. The business is not yet profitable.
flaregames is based in Karlsruhe and employs 30 people. The company was founded in 2011 by Klaas Kersting, Matthias Schindler, Andreas Suika, Georg Broxtermann, Börje Sieling and Cem Aslan.

Christian Illek, director of marketing, led the cooperation agreement on behalf of Deutsche Telekom. Klaas Kersting is chief executive of flaregames.
