Equita CoVest in €115m first close
Equita Management has held a €115m first close for its Equita CoVest fund.
Equita CoVest is complementary to the evergreen fund Equita Fund 3, which closed on €315m in May 2007.
Investments
The fund will exclusively invest alongside the existing evergreen fund. Equita is looking to make between two and three investments per year and will only target the German-speaking mid-market.
Investors
So far, all LPs in Equita CoVest are existing investors in other Equita funds. They include German corporates, family offices and institutional investors.
New investors will have the opportunity to invest in the fund, which has a flexible target of €150m, until September 2012.
People
Hans Juergen Wiemker, director and CFO, is responsible for the fund at Equita.
