Atlantic Capital et al. back Miflora
Atlantic Capital Partners, Heilemann Ventures and HR Alpha Ventures have backed flower delivery business Miflora in a seven-digit funding round.
Atlantic had already co-led a seed financing round for the Munich-based start-up in August this year. Miflora is a portfolio company of internet start-up incubator Venture Stars.
Heilemann was founded by German entrepreneur Fabian and Ferry Heilemann, who founded deals company Dailydeals. Their latest transaction was the investment in mobile shopping deals app Scondoo, alongside Point Nine Capital, in June this year.
Atlantic Capital Partners invested in data analytics solution provider Torch in November this year alongside eVentures and High-Tech Gründerfonds.
Company
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Munich, Miflora offers flower delivery services. At inception, Miflora offered flower delivery subscriptions only, leaving the customer to choose how many flowers and how often they wanted to receive deliveries, with options including weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Miflora now also offers individual flower deliveries, with the subscription option moving in the background of the company's sale strategy focus. The firm also offers a small range of Christmas trees during the weeks leading up to Christmas.
People
Atlantic general partner Marcus Englert took a seat on Miflora's board in August this year. Tobias Mazet is Miflora's founder and CEO.
