Constellation acquires Rehms
Swiss private equity firm Constellation Capital has acquired a majority stake in building services company Rehms.
The purchase was part of the company's succession planning and will see both the owner and incumbent management team remain involved in running Rehms.
A buy-and-build strategy has been agreed to expand Rehms within the North Rhine-Westphalia region.
Constellation stated it planned to leverage its experience in the sector to grow the company – in September 2014, the GP acquired Roth Brandschutz, a Swiss-based company focusing on building insulation, heating, ventilation and plumbing.
Company
Founded in 1939 and headquartered in Borken, Rehms installs and maintains heating and plumbing systems, as well as ventilation and air conditioning, for clients operating hotels, offices and residential buildings. It also implements measurement and control systems for its equipment.
The company has 250 employees.
People
Hans Rehms is CEO of Rehms. Dieter Scheiff is managing partner at Constellation.
