
Point Nine backs Marley Spoon
Point Nine Capital has co-led a €4m series-A funding round for Marley Spoon, a recipe kit service based in Berlin.
Global Founders Capital, the Samwer brothers' start-up incubator, co-led the round alongside Point Nine.
Various angel investors also participated in the round, which brings the total raised by Marley Spoon so far to €5.5m.
The fresh capital will be used to bring the service to the Netherlands and the UK. According to Marley Spoon, the two countries represent some of the largest proportional online sales in Europe.
Company
Launched in August 2014, Marley Spoon delivers ingredients and recipes to customers in recyclable packaging. It offers a choice of seven different meals per week, curated by professional chefs. Customers can order their preferences via website or app.
