
VR Equitypartner acquires Dilax
VR Equitypartner has bought a 65% stake in Berlin-based Dilax Intelcom alongside Omos Equity Partners.
The Dilax management team also participated in the transaction. Founder and former managing director Uwe Hinrichsen continues to hold a minority stake in the company and will remain involved in Dilax as an adviser.
The purchase will see Dilax implement a long-term research and development programme for new products, technologies and services.
Omos Equity Partners invests in Mittelstand companies in the healthcare, industrials and services sectors. It is backed by family offices and institutional investors.

Dilax develops, produces and distributes specialist software and hardware systems for measuring the number of people and passengers in rail stations, bus terminals, airports, stadiums, shopping centres and museums.
The company was formed in 1988, following the merger of Swiss company Dilax with Berlin-based Intelcom. It has 120 employees located in its Berlin headquarters and further locations in Canada, the UK, France, Switzerland and Spain. Dilax generated turnover of €18m in 2014.
