Holger Weiss joins Target as venture partner
Munich-based VC Target Partners has appointed entrepreneur Holger Weiss as venture partner.
The startup founder and business angel was hired to help improve Target's startup network, with a focus on the Berlin ecosystem and the mobility and Internet-of-Things sectors.
Most recently, Weiss was CEO of Aupeo, a personalised internet radio service. In 2013, he led the sale of the company to Panasonic Automotive Systems of North America. Prior to Aupeo, he worked for mapping software business gate5 in Berlin, from inception until a sale to Nokia in 2006.
Weiss is also an investor and board member at various startups, including High Mobility and Gestion, which both develop car-related software.
Target and Weiss have known each other since the VC invested in gate5 in 2004. The Berlin office, where Weiss will work, opened in December last year and is led by Target's general partners Yaron Valler and Shmuel Chafets.
