
Capiton acquires Raith from Hannover Finanz
Capiton has acquired German nanofabrication systems producer Raith from Hannover Finanz.
Listed investor GBK Beteiligungen, in which Hannover Finanz holds 11.3%, also sold its 17.6% stake in Raith. GBK's capital gains from the transaction stand at €6.9m.
Capiton acquired the business via Capiton V, which closed on €425m in January 2015. The GP plans to grow the business organically via international expansion and by broadening its product range, as well as through acquisitions, for which additional funds have been earmarked by Capiton.

Hannover Finanz acquired Raith in June 2002 via its sixth and seventh vehicles.
Company
Established in 1980 and based in Dortmund, Raith is a producer of nanofabrication systems and software used for printing and scanning nanostructures. It develops research and development applications to analyse and develop microchip circuits and other nanostructures, for instance in the fields of biochemistry and cybersecurity.
Raith has two production sites in Germany and the Netherlands, as well as three distribution units in the US, China and India. The company employs 200 people and generated sales of €54m in 2015.
