Swisscom reinvests in Adello
Swisscom Ventures has increased its investment in portfolio company and media-buying platform developer Adello.
As part of the deal Bettina von Kupsch, head of market strategy at Swisscom's mobile division, has joined Adello's board.
The fresh capital will be used to scale up the company's technology and support further international expansion.
Previous funding
In August 2014, Swisscom backed Adello through its Swiss Early Stage Fund, providing a $2m round of growth capital funding to the developer. The company's management also participated in the round. The funding was earmarked for further acceleration of the company's expansion into the US.
Company
Founded in 2008, Adello develops a programmatic media-buying platform for mobile advertising. It uses big data in real time with machine learning and predictive analytics to provide an advertising newsletter that gives users an overview of market development, trends in mobile advertising and special offers. The company is based in Zurich, with additional offices in the US, the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Austria and Hungary.
