Polytech, Investiere lead €2.8m series-A for Kiwi
Polytech Ventures and Investiere Venture Capital have backed a €2.8m series-A funding round for Swiss micro-finance business Kiwi.
Swiss impact funds Symbiotics and 1to4 Foundation also took part in the financing.
The fresh capital will be used to accelerate the company's growth in Mexico, as well as expanding into new markets.
Kiwi simultaneously announced that French economist and political adviser Jacques Attali has joined its board of directors.
Previous funding
1to4 led a CHF 525,000 funding round for Kiwi (then Kiwi-eBOP) in 2017.
Company
Kiwi was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Lausanne. The company makes software for Mexican small businesses and entrepreneurs to enable them to accept electronic payments, get micro-loans and manage sales from their phones.
