Quantum-backed Postcon sells subsidiary Pin
Postcon, a portfolio company of Munich-based Quantum Capital Partners, has sold Berlin-based postal service Pin to DvH Medien's investment arm, DvH Vermögensverwaltung, and business angels including Marc Zeimetz.
Quantum acquired Postcon from PostNL in August 2019. The GP invested via Quantum Opportunity Fund II, which held a final close on €77.5m in 2018. The firm generally deploys equity tickets of up to €15m for majority stakes in companies with revenues of €20-500m.
Ratingen-based Postcon generates revenues of €550m, according to Quantum's website. It has 3,500 employees and focuses on delivery services in the Rhineland and Ruhr areas.
The transaction was expected to close in Q4 2019, as reported by Unquote.

Pin is a postal service that comprises the subsidiaries Pin IT, Pin Logistik and Pin Direkt. The business processes 750,000 packages on a daily basis and manages their collection, sorting and delivery. Its clients include Berlin transport authority BVG, the Charité hospital and Amazon.de, according to its website.
The company reported 2018 turnover of €70m. It has 1,300 employees and is based in Berlin.
