Aheim acquires W.AG Funktion + Design
Bavaria-based Aheim Capital has wholly acquired W.AG Funktion + Design, a manufacturer of plastic packaging cases for industrial use, from its founder, Wolfgang Wagester.
Wagester will remain as managing director of the company for a transitional period in order to ensure the continuity of the business. During this period he will also coach his two designated successors, before moving into an advisory role to continue his support for the company.
Aheim's envisaged growth initiatives include expanding the product portfolio, strengthening existing sales models and further developing international activities. The firm also plans to invest in W.AG's Thuringen-based headquarters and to create more jobs.
The Aheim funds conduct control investments in profitable companies in the German Mittelstand, with revenues of up to €75m. Aheim's management commit considerably to the funds, alongside wealthy entrepreneurs, family offices, high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors.
