
Equistone acquires EuroAvionics
Equistone Partners Europe has acquired EuroAvionics Holding, a manufacturer of civil certified systems for the aviation industry, from Varde Investments Ireland.
Equistone acquired an 84% stake in the firm, with the management team holding all remaining shares.
The new owners will drive the organic and acquisitive international growth of the firm.
The investment was made through Equistone Partners Europe Fund IV, which held a fourth close on €1bn earlier this year. The fund typically invests between €50-300m.

Founded in 1993 and based in Pforzheim, EuroAvionics designs, develops and produces civil certified avionics systems for aviation companies. These systems are predominantly used by operators engaged in air rescue, reconnaissance, fire-fighting and police services. The firm employs 42 members of staff.

Managing director Peter Hammermann, investment manager Alexis Milkovic and COO Stephan Köhler led the deal for Equistone. Sven Bogner is managing director of EuroAvionics.
