IK Investment Partners acquires Snacks International
IK Investment Partners has taken a majority stake in French food company Snacks International, for an undisclosed amount.
IK believes the company operates in an industry benefiting from strong volume growth and exhibiting good potential for further penetration of private label products. Snacks International now plans to develop the existing product range and to launch new product lines. In addition, it intends to grow its activities by exporting into the UK.
Financing for the transaction was underwritten by Crédit Lyonnais (LCL) and Céréa Mezzanine.
Founded in 1991, Snacks International is a food processing company based in Saint Denis la Chevasse. It specialises in salted snacks distributed under retailers' own ranges and private label discount brands.
