Omnes Capital promotes two
French GP Omnes Capital has promoted Benjamin Arm to head of buyout and growth capital, and Michel de Lempdes to head of venture capital.
Arm has been named head of the buyout and growth capital business, which totals 12 professionals in the small- and mid-cap buyout, growth capital and mezzanine teams. He is also a member of the company's executive committee.
The business has €540m under management and is currently raising two funds, which Omnes plans to invest in SMEs with an enterprise value of less than €150m.
Arm joined Omnes as an associate in 2006 and was promoted to director last year. Prior to this he was in the transaction advisory services department at EY and started his career in 2001 at Arthur Andersen.
De Lempdes has meanwhile been named head of the venture capital business, having been co-head since 2012. He is also a member of the executive committee.
He started at Credit Agricole CIB in New York, working in the funds-of-funds and LBO funding operations. In 2001, he co-launched Credit Lyonnais Venture Capital, which later became part of Omnes.
Paris-based Omnes has €2.1bn in assets under management and focuses on financing SMEs. Formerly known as Crédit Agricole Private Equity, it span out of the company in March 2012 in a management buyout led by Coller Capital. In September 2013, the 12-strong management team bought out Coller.
