Entrepreneur Venture leads €3m round for Mediabong
Entrepreneur Venture has invested €3m in French video and advertising services provider Mediabong alongside existing shareholders Jaïna Capital, Conegliano Venture and Network Finances.
Information regarding Entrepreneur Venture's contribution to the round has yet to be disclosed. Media reports place it at the €2.25m mark, however, with all remaining capital coming from Mediabong's previous investors.
Meanwhile, according to these same sources, founders Yann Battard and Laurent Bury saw their stake in the company shrink to 35%.
The funding round comes three years after Mediabong's first capital injection in April 2012. That year saw Jaïna Capital, Conegliano Ventures, Network Finance and business angels Patrick Robin and François de la Villardière inject €1m into the company.
Mediabong will use the second funding round to finance its research and development efforts. The business has plans for new hires within its team of engineers and in its US office, which opened last September.

Founded in 2011, Mediabong provides video and advertising services. Its software allows advertisers to insert online video adverts that adjust to the content displayed on a webpage.
