IK acquires EPiServer from VC consortium
IK Investment Partners has acquired EPiServer Group AB from Amadeus Capital, Monterro Holding, Northzone Ventures and entrepreneurs.
The consortium of exiting investors announced plans for an IPO of the company earlier in the year. Despite reports that the shares were fully subscribed, the flotation was pulled.
EPiServer is headquartered in Sweden and is represented in the other Nordic countries, as well as the Netherlands, the UK and the US. The company is a provider of web content management, online social community and ecommerce platforms. It was founded in 1994 and generated revenues of SEK 192m in 2009.
Annual revenue growth of more than 30% over the last five years was said to be attractive for the investor. IK will support further organic growth and future market consolidation.
