
Creandum backs Vivino
Nordic VC Creandum has invested $1m in a series-A funding round for Danish social wine-focused app developer Vivino.
The fresh capital will be used to monetise growth and expand the business worldwide, particularly in the US.
In 2011, Vivino received seed funding from Seed Capital and Skype co-founder Janus Friis. Creandum invested $50m in Swedish music streaming start-up Spotify in July 2009.
Before starting Vivino in 2009, Zachariassen founded BullGuard, one of the fastest growing internet and mobile security brands.

Founded in 2009, Vivino is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. Its app covers a database of 500,000 wines from 20,000 wineries across the world. It allows users to share tasting notes, ratings and pricing information.
